Wischqummiprofil and method for manufacturing the same
The present invention relates to a squeegee profile and a method for producing the same and to the use thereof according to the preamble of the independent claims.
State of the art
Extruded profiles of an elastomeric material are e.g. used as a squeegee profiles. Such wiper rubber profiles find u. a. Use in windscreen wipers of motor vehicles or in stripper rubbers, such as those used for windscreen cleaning.
Extruded profiles used as squeegee profiles generally include a base portion and a lip portion. The lip portion is usually formed on a triangular pivot part which is connected via a tilting ridge with the base part. The material requirements for the base portion and lip portion are generally different.
In order to achieve a sufficiently good wiping behavior of the wiper blade, the lip portion is usually formed of a material with a low friction on glass and a high wear resistance. On the other hand, the tilting bar should e.g. have high flexibility and weather resistance. In order to ensure the different properties, it is e.g. From DE-A 35 27 093 known to produce a squeegee rubber profile, which consists mainly of EPDM and having a lip portion, which are formed on a surface to be cleaned sliding contact parts of a chlorinated diene-type rubber. The preparation takes place e.g. by a coextrusion process, wherein after the coextrusion of the rubber in the region of the lip portion is chlorinated.
Furthermore, from DE 10 2009 026 441 A1 a wiper blade for windscreen wiper is known, which includes a squeegee made of an elastomeric material. In the area of the wiper lip, the wiper rubber comprises a rough surface, which in turn is provided with a coating of a soft material which has a smooth surface. Due to the coating of the rough surface with a soft material with a smooth surface a substantially schlierenfreies wiping image is achieved. The underlying rough surface has a roughness in the range of 10 to 100 pm. This is achieved by providing the elastomeric material for producing the squeegee with a surface coating formed, for example, by polyethylene, silica or glass beads. Alternatively, the elastomeric material of the wiper blade itself can also show a roughened surface.
The purpose of this arrangement of roughened elastomer profile and lubricious surface is that the squeegee profile shows relatively abruptly changed, wiping behavior worsened when worn and thus gives rise to replace the corresponding wiper rubber profile.
Furthermore, from JP 2003182531 A a squeegee is known, which has a rough surface in the lip area, which is brought into contact with a surface to be cleaned. The surface roughness of the wiper rubber profile is created by the application of a surface coating of lubricant particles.
Disclosure of the invention
Object of the present invention is therefore to provide a wiper blade profile that shows a technically easy to implement construction and at the same time sufficient wiping properties.
The wiper rubber profile according to the invention as well as the process according to the invention for its production with the characterizing features of the independent patent claims advantageously solve the object underlying the invention.
This is based in particular on the fact that, when EPDM is used as the elastomeric material for wiper rubber profiles, a property profile of the resulting wiper rubber profile already results, which is practical tests such as dry abrasion tests even without the application of surface coatings, for example solid lubricant particles or even without halogenation.
Further advantageous embodiments of the present invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
For example, it is advantageous if the wiper rubber profile furthermore has a roughened surface with a surface roughness of in particular <20 μm. In this way, in particular in the area of the lip section of the wiper rubber profile which comes into contact with a surface to be cleaned, a reduction in the contact surface between the wiper rubber profile and the surface to be cleaned is achieved. This reduces on the one hand the mechanical force required to move the wiper blade over a surface to be cleaned, on the other hand, a noise development during the wiping process is successfully suppressed.
It is furthermore advantageous if the EPDM used has a proportion of ethene between 45 and 55 percent by weight, since in this way, in particular in conjunction with a high proportion of ethylidene norbornene, a property profile of the EPDM favorable for the field of use in wiper rubber profiles can be achieved.
According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the EPDM added to the wiper blade profile is provided with a relatively low ethene content and a relatively high content of ethylene norbornene. In this way results in a particularly favorable property profile for wiper rubber profiles, which shows a good heat resistance and a high resistance to abrasion.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the wiper rubber profile is subjected to irradiation with ultraviolet light after its manufacture. This leads to a further hardening of the

Description of the embodiments
FIG. 1 shows a wiping rubber profile 10 according to a first embodiment of the present invention. This comprises a base portion 12, which serves to hold the wiper blade profile 10, for example, on a wiper strip of a wiper blade for motor vehicles. Furthermore, the squeegee rubber profile 10 comprises a lip portion 14, the boundary surface facing away from the base portion 12 in operation in contact with a surface to be cleaned, such as a glass pane of a motor vehicle, comes.
The base portion 12 and the lip portion 14 are flexibly interconnected, for example, via a so-called tilting web 16. Preferably, both the base portion 12 and the lip portion 14 are made of a suitable elastomeric material.
In a first embodiment, the entire lip portion 14 is made of a material having a low coefficient of friction and high resistance to wear. In order to achieve a sufficient flexibility of the lip portion 14, it is preferable to also use an elastomeric material as a material having a low friction coefficient and a high anti-abrasion resistance. Θβιτιεβ the present invention has been found that the use of EPDM as elastomeric material for the lip portion 14, a squeegee profile results whose sliding and wiping properties are already so good that can be dispensed with the application of a glëitreibungsmindernden surface coating. This is the case in particular when at least the lip section 14 is either made of EPDM or at least provided in a proportion of more than 80% based on the total content of elastomeric material. The base portion 12 may also be made of the same elastomeric material as the lip portion 14.
As the elastomeric material for the base portion 12, e.g. Ethylene-propylene terpolymers, natural rubber (NR), chloroprene rubber (CR), butadiene rubber (BR), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR), polyurethane elastomers (PUR), Blends of acrylonitrile butadiene rubber and polyvinyl chloride (NBR / PVC) or blends thereof.
It has also been shown that especially when EPDM is used with a relatively low proportion of ethene and a relatively high proportion of ethylidene norbornene, a wiper rubber profile with particularly favorable sliding properties can be generated. The use of an EPDM is provided which, for example, has an ethene content of from 45 to 55% by weight, preferably from 47 to 53% by weight and in particular from 48 to 52% by weight. Furthermore, this EPDM, for example, a content of Ethylidenenenorbornen from 5 to 10 weight percent, preferably from 7 to 9 weight percent and in particular from 8 to 9 weight percent based on the EPDM raw material used.
A further improvement in the sliding properties of the wiper rubber profile produced in this way can be achieved if this has a defined surface roughness. This is provided in particular in the region of the lip section 14, wherein the unevennesses are to be settled, for example, in the range of 0.1 to 20 μm, preferably in the range of 0.1 <10 μm.
Furthermore, the wiper blade profile 10 can be subjected to irradiation with ultraviolet light at least in the region of the lip portion 14 after its production. This leads to a further hardening of the elastomeric base material of the lip portion 14 and thus to a further improvement in the sliding properties of the wiper-rubber profile 10 thus produced.
The EPDM-containing elastomeric material used in the invention has, in addition to the above-described EPDM, for example, a plasticizer such as dioctyl adipate in an amount of from 20 to 50 parts by weight, preferably from 35 to 40 parts by weight based on the total content of EPDM.
Furthermore, for example, as filler Ρυβ used in an amount of 50 to 110 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of EPDM, in particular in an amount of 72 to 85 parts by weight based on 100 parts of EPDM.
Furthermore, for example, zinc oxide may be added as an activator, for example in an amount of up to 8 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight EPDM, in particular in an amount of up to 5 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight EPDM and / or ethylene glycol dimethacrylate in an amount of 0.5-3 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of EPDM, in particular from 1.2 to 1.8 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of EPDM.
Finally, for example, a crosslinker in the form of 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di (tert-methylperoxi) hexane as peroxidic crosslinker in an amount of, for example, 2 to 6 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of EPDM, preferably in an amount of 4.2 to 5.2 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of EPDM added.
The above-described wiper blade profile 10 can be used advantageously for windscreen wipers of motor vehicles or rail vehicles and for cleaning headlamps, for example in motor vehicles.
